Y.W.A.V. Drop-In @ Betty Ferguson Foundation – Fantastic!

The Youth With A Voice program @ BFF on July 7th was fantastic! YWAV’s mission at BFF is to provide Training in Leadership and Community Service. BFF Board Member, Janine Jones, was the facilitator and her topic was “Non-Verbal Communication”. She brought 3 guests with her: a junior high student and 2 high school students. This was a great idea because the girls were able to get some peer-to-peer interaction and experiences along with Janine’s high quality and high energy presentation. Fun, interactive and informative, are how the girls described the program as they were leaving. In fact, a new participant’s mother stayed through the program and commented on how pleased she was with the topic and delivery. We had 4 new young ladies join us this week and Janine gave them a wonderful first impression of what YWAV is all about. Next Drop-In is scheduled for July 21st from 1pm to 3pm.
